Think You're The Perfect Candidate For Doing Best Robot Vacuum And Mop Self-Empty? Check This Quiz

self-emptying robot vacuums  and Mop With Self-Empting Bases

Self-emptying bases make the value of a robot vacuum particularly for those with large houses. This means that you don't have to empty the bin more than once per run. It keeps your floors clean and it runs more often.

The app allows you to create zones and clean schedules. But it wasn't able to avoid obstacles like shoes or furniture legs, as well as the j7 or Q Revo.

1. iRobot Combo J7+

The Combo J7+ is iRobot's first robot mop and vacuum. It takes the excellent iRobot j7 robotic vacuum and adds a small reservoir of water, a robotic arm that raises and lowers a mopping pad, and some new sensors. The result is a highly efficient two-in-one cleaner that we found to be superior than non-mopping robotic vacuums.

The Combo J7+ does not have the additional smart mopping features found in our top pick, but it still does an excellent job of cleaning. It comes with a powerful brush roll that works both on hard floors and carpeted areas. It can fit between furniture and rugs without a problem even on stairs that are steep. It has a strong suction that we found impressive, although it is not as strong as the iRobot Roomba's 694.

The Combo J7+ is distinguished from other robot vacuums due to its mopping feature that makes use of the rotating brush to scrub the floors. SmartScrub is what iRobot refers to, and it mimics the way that a mop would scrub a floor. It can be activated on a room-by-room basis within the iRobot app.

Like other iRobot robots the J7 Plus is incredibly simple to install and use. It is also easy to maintain. The dust bin as well as the water tank can be removed to make cleaning easier. The iRobot App allows you to watch instructional videos that demonstrate how to maintain the various components of the machine. For example, replacing the mopping pad or filtering the water tank.

The only drawback is that the iRobot Combo J7+ only mop if you have a mopping pad attached and its 210ml water tank is filled. If one or the other is not present, it simply vacuums. You can easily monitor the tank's water level using the iRobot app, and when it's low you'll receive an alert to refill it.

2. Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is a budget robot that does an excellent job of mopping and vacuuming. The mopping efficiency, especially when compared to its price, is impressive. It works well on hard floors and carpets and can pick up small to large debris (think hair tangles, or cat litter). It also does a fantastic job at cleaning up dried spills and messes. It is also excellent for cleaning stairs and places that are easy to become stuck.

The mopping system uses an elongated pad that rotates to scrub your floors with water to lift dirt and grime, even on stubbed-on spots. The pad is then thoroughly dried with 45 minutes of warm air following each cleaning to avoid mold and unpleasant smells. You can control the robot using the Roborock App or with your voice to start mopping, change settings and more.

Its vacuuming performance is top-quality and the suction is also top-quality. It features powerful suction and a high-efficiency filters that remove small to large particles with ease. The only issue is that it doesn't perform as well against pet hair on carpet. Ten percent of pet hair remains on our test surface after two cycles at max power, though this isn't unusual in the vacuuming world.

The Q Revo is a great product, with its excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. It also has excellent cleaning and mopping capabilities. It's not as great as the higher-end robotic vacuum cleaner and mop however, it's an excellent choice for those with a limited budget. Plus, it charges up to 30% faster than previous versions and works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri Shortcuts. That's a lot of convenience for not a whole lot of money. 3. Yeedi Cube

The Yeedi Cube is a vacuum mop robot that performs well and comes with great features at a very reasonable price. The installation was simple and took just five minutes. After removal of the tape used for manufacturing and the protective plastic and a quick scan of the QR code on the app gets you started. The app is simple to use and will guide you through each step. Once configured, you can start mapping and cleaning.

The app allows you to customize your home's layout and create maps that the robot will follow. The app also lets you divide rooms into smaller sections to better target your specific requirements. For instance, you can create a map for the kitchen, and another for the living room which allows the robot to sweep the floors in each room at different times.

The Yeedi Cube is unique compared to other robots that I've tried. It is an industrial design. Its base station is more modular than the others and features a dirty water tank and auto-empty feature on one side and the vacuum on the other. The reusable mop pad is also a separate piece, fitting into the top of the robot, and attached to an handle on the front for easy removal and refilling.

The vacuum is as good as any robot I've examined, and it comes with two side brushes instead of the single brush on most models. This improves the coverage of the vacuum, making it less likely to loose debris around walls and furniture. However, it does have some issues with the detection of objects and a tendency to move at full speed through objects, like the tassel rug I have in my office.

4. iRobot Braava Jet m6

The iRobot Braava Jet m6 robot mop is an excellent option for maintaining your floors. It does an excellent job and will keep them looking great. It isn't able to vacuum like other hybrids, and it is unable to transfer from hard flooring to carpets or rugs. However, with its long battery life and smart mopping features, this robot is an ideal option for smaller and medium-sized homes.

It can also be used in dry sweeping mode, sweeping up to 1,000 square. ft. on a single battery charge. It is also able to map your floor plan with the iRobot App and clean rooms in a sequence by using compatible Roomba Vacuums.

When used in wet mopping mode the m6 uses a precision spray to dampen the floor in straight, efficient lines. It was fascinating to watch and it was able to remove even the most difficult dried-in coffee stains and juice staining my floors. It can be programmed to use less or more water than the maximum amount specified in the app.

The iRobot App is one of the most user-friendly apps on the market. It makes it easy to sync with your home WiFi. It's packed with user-friendly features like scheduling, room partitioning and creating no-go zones that give you fine control over the machine. You can also check how much power remains in the battery to know how long before it needs to be recharged or docked. The m6 is available from My Robot Centre in the UK for PS499, the iRobot store in the US for $399 and on Amazon (where it's currently available for sale). It is available in white and graphite.

5. Shark RV2610WA

There's no denying that robot vacuums and mops are a convenient way to keep your home tidy without having to lift a finger however they do come with hefty price tags. The Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 robotic vacuum and mop with XLHEPA Self-Empty base which we reviewed, retails at $699 / PS559 or approximately $1054. Forgo the charging base and you'll still need to shell out $549/PS395/about $775 AUD.

The Shark RV2610WA is a great choice for anyone who needs a robot that is able to handle both mopping and vacuuming. It uses sonic mopping to scrub floors at a rate of 100 times per minute, and is capable of deep cleaning stubborn stains using the stain-lifting option that comes with it. The app allows you to schedule the machine to clean at a particular date and time, and it is equipped with an intelligent feature that allows you to control your robot even when you're not at home.

As far as vacuuming goes in the vacuuming department, the Shark performs well and can take care of most debris however, it's not as effective on carpets. It's not difficult for pet hair to get stuck in the brushroll, and its dirt bin can quickly fill up. There are a lot of components that require regular maintenance and replacement, which can add up to recurring costs over time.

For the money There are better choices on the market. The iRobot Combo J7 Plus, for instance, has superior performance on carpets with high pile and bare floors. It is better built and has a larger dust bin and can get over obstacles like electrical cords with ease. The iRobot is more expensive, but it's worth the extra expense if you require a cleaner that does both tasks with ease.
